EDITH ONYENEMEZU, PMHNP

Mental & Behavioral Health Chair

Edith Onyenemezu is a dedicated nurse with 20+ years of experience assessing patient health problems and executing nursing care plans. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mountain State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner.


She has worked in various nursing positions as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about her profession and enjoys providing clinical management to clients, patients, and residents with various medical and psychiatric health deviations.


JOSEPHINE TAFIE, DNP, APRN, FNP-C 

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Tafie is a dedicated and patient-focused Family Nurse Practitioner with proven strengths in acute patient care, staff development, teaching, and patient advocacy. Dr. Tafie Displays an exceptional aptitude to deliver positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously building productive relationships.


Dr. Tafie Demonstrates the ability to lead an outstanding Health care team. She is also known for her exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, her ability to manage competing priorities, as well maintaining accurate and efficient documentation.


Dr. Tafie also enjoys reading, researching, shopping, and traveling in her free time.


NKEMDILIM OKONKWO PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

BOARD-CERTIFIED PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER (PMHNP-BC)


As a healthcare provider, Nkem provides a safe therapeutic environment for all her clients. Her professional focus is using a holistic, biopsychosocial, and collaborative approach to meet the behavioral health needs of her clients in a nonjudgmental approach. Ms. Okonkwo also makes use of psychopharmacological interventions to achieve optimal wellness.


Nkemdilim places emphasis on providing quality patient care and education to foster a collaborative, therapeutic relationship.


Ms. Okonkwo obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Psychology from Southern Arkansas University and her Master’s degree from Walden University. As a registered nurse, she worked in the inpatient psychiatry unit at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. for several years as well as at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington.
